Once upon a time, in a quiet forest, there lived a little turtle named Tilly. Tilly was not like the other turtles, for she loved to collect colorful rocks. Every morning, as the sun peeked over the treetops, she would crawl out of her cozy shell and begin her search for new, shiny rocks to add to her collection.
One sunny afternoon, while Tilly was exploring near the sparkling river, she noticed the most beautiful rock she had ever seen. It was big and round, with swirls of blue and green that shimmered in the sunlight. Tilly really wanted to add it to her collection, but the rock was far too heavy for her to move on her own.
Just then, Benny the beaver paddled by on his way to gather wood. Benny was curious about what Tilly was doing, so he stopped and asked, “How can I help you today, Tilly?”
Tilly smiled and pointed toward the beautiful rock. “I found this special rock, but it’s too heavy for me to take home.”
Benny thought for a moment, then said, “I can help you carry it to your collection. I’m strong and love helping friends.”
With Benny’s help, the rock was soon nestled safely next to the rest of Tilly’s collection. Tilly was so grateful, she gave Benny one of her prettiest smaller rocks as a thank you gift. Benny smiled and said, “Thank you, Tilly! It’s always nice to have a piece of your colorful world.”
The next day, Benny needed help building his dam. Tilly knew she wasn’t very strong, but she had a great idea. She could find sticks and twigs for Benny. So, she went around gathering the best sticks she could find.
When Benny saw how many sticks Tilly had collected, he was amazed. “These are perfect, Tilly! They will make my dam the strongest in the forest.”
As the days turned into weeks, Tilly and Benny worked together. Tilly found more beautiful rocks, and Benny collected more awesome wood. They became the best of friends, always ready to help each other with big smiles.
Soon, all the forest creatures noticed how wonderful it was when friends helped each other. The birds shared their songs, the rabbits shared their carrots, and the squirrels shared their acorns. The forest became a place of happy teamwork.
As for Tilly and Benny, they kept their promise to always help and support each other. Tilly’s rock collection grew colorful and unique, and Benny’s dam became the most impressive in the forest.
And every night, as the moon shone brightly over the forest, Tilly and Benny would sit by the river bank, sharing stories and dreams, knowing that together, they could move even the biggest rocks.
And so, under the starry sky, they dreamed of tomorrow, happy and thankful for the gift of friendship. The end.
