Once in a land of fluffy clouds and sunny skies lived a little rain drop named Drippy. Drippy was small, round, and loved bouncing around on puffy cloud beds. One day, while Drippy was playing with his friends, he noticed a big, colorful rainbow painting itself across the sky.
Drippy had never seen anything so beautiful. “I want to slide down the rainbow!” he exclaimed with excitement. His friends giggled, unsure if such a thing was possible. But Drippy was determined. He asked the Sun, “Oh dear Sun, can I please slide down your rainbow?”
The Sun, warm and bright, said, “Well, Drippy, if you’re brave enough to glide from cloud to cloud, you might just reach that colorful arch!”
Off Drippy went, jumping from one fluffy tuft to another. He wobbled, sometimes slipping, but the clouds caught him every time. His friends cheered him on from above, their voices carrying across the sky like soft music.
Finally, Drippy arrived at the top of the rainbow. It glowed with radiant colors, reds, blues, and yellows all swirled together like a painter’s best work. Delightedly, Drippy sat down and prepared to slide.
As he zoomed down, Drippy laughed, feeling like the happiest little rain drop ever. The colors whooshed past him, and he felt tickles of warmth and joy. The rainbow slide was smooth and fast, lifting his tiny water heart with pure joy.
When he reached the end, he splashed into a small, cheerful pond below. Nearby were hopping frogs and quacking ducklings, who smiled at their new rainy friend. “Welcome, Drippy!” croaked Froggy, the friendly frog.
Drippy beamed back at them, “That was the most fun I’ve ever had! The rainbow is amazing!”
From then on, Drippy loved telling his cloud friends about his colorful slide. And whenever it rained, he would share his story with the flowers and plants, making sure the grass and trees knew about the wonderful colors hiding in the sky.
As the stars began to twinkle, Drippy felt a gentle tug. It was time to head back to the sky, where he could rest on his cozy cloud bed. Every time he drifted to sleep, he dreamt of rainbows and the joy of sharing adventures with friends, making him the happiest little rain drop in the whole big sky.
