The butterfly thought for a moment and said, “I can grant you a wish for one whole day. You could become a child for a little while and see the world outside!”
Chip’s eyes widened in surprise and delight. “Oh, thank you!” he exclaimed. Without another moment’s delay, the butterfly fluttered her wings and sprinkled a bit of magic dust over Chip. Suddenly, Chip felt all tingly, and in a twinkle, he transformed from a cookie into a cheerful little boy!
As a child in jeans and a bright plaid shirt, Chip was beyond excited. With a smile as bright as the morning sun, he ran out of the bakery and into the bustling marketplace. Everything felt new and wonderful. There were children flying colorful kites, families at the park picnicking, and vendors selling candy and balloons.
